Lewis Hamilton megtörte a Mercedes veretlenségét és véget vetett a Ferrari nyeretlenségének. Barcelonában megszerezte az első győzelmét vörösben!
Mindenkinél többet, 31 versenyt kellett várnia rá, de az F1 történetének 40. versenyzőjeként végre Lewis Hamilton is feliratkozott a Ferrari futamgyőztes versenyzői közé. Ahogy 30 évvel ezelőtt Michael Schumacher, úgy az ő debütálósikerének is Barcelona lett a helyszíne.
A leintés után Hamilton elérzékenyülve mondott köszönetet csapatának. Érzelmei jelezték, milyen fontos számára az első ferraris győzelem, és azt is, milyen sokat kellett várnia rá.
Hamilton 686 nap után nyert újra versenyt. A legutóbbi sikerét a 2024-es Belga Nagydíjon aratta. A Ferrarinak egy 595 napos nyeretlen időszaka tört meg, ők két éve Mexikóban ünnepelhettek legutóbb.
„Nagyon köszönöm, hogy segítettetek elérni ezt az álmomat! Nem tudom eléggé megköszönni. Nagyon keményen dolgoztatok odahaza. És köszönöm a családomnak! Szeretlek titeket. És köszönöm a szurkolóknak, hogy emlékeztettek arra, ki is vagyok. Nélkületek nem ment volna. Grazie!” – mondta Hamilton örömmámorban.
Hamilton vasárnapi sikerét egy virtuális biztonsági autó fázis alapozta meg. Hamilton alternatív taktikán vágott neki a Barcelona-Katalónia Nagydíjának: lágy gumin szállt harcba a közepes gumis Mercedesek ellen. Ez eleve a három kiállás és egy támadó stílusú verseny felé terelgette őt. A második kerékcseréje után Hamilton nagy ütemben zárkózott az élen haladó George Russellre és Andrea Kimi Antonellire, aztán amikor ellenfelei is szervizeltek, rámosolygott a szerencse.
Fernando Alonso alatt a 41. körben megállt az Aston Martin, és mivel a pálya mellett parkolta le, az FIA virtuális biztonsági autós fázist léptetett életbe. Hamilton ezzel tálcán kapta a lehetőséget arra, hogy a harmadik kiállása egy „olcsó kerékcsere” legyen. Még a kör végén kikanyarodott a szerelőihez, megkapta a friss szett kemény gumiját, és mivel 5 kör gumielőnybe is került Russell-lel szemben, onnantól már csak haza kellett hoznia az autóját.

„Tavaly egy álmom vált valóra, és tavaly ez egy szinte lehetetlen útnak tűnt. De sosem adtuk fel a reményt, és a csapat mindig felemelt. Nagyon sok dolgon változtattunk, sok mindenen javítottunk. Ennek tetejébe pedig az enyém a legjobb szurkolótábor, amit egy sportoló elképzelhet! Köszönöm mindenkinek!” – mondta az autóból kiszállva Hamilton.
A brit a 106. F1-es győzelmét aratta, a harmadik csapatánál is felléphetett a dobogó tetejére.
„A maga módján mind különleges, de ez most valami más. Fiatalon a tévén keresztül néztem a Ferrari sikereit, és amióta itt versenyeztem, mindig néztem a kivetítőket, gondolkodtam rajta, milyen lehet ennél a csapatnál nyerni. És eljött. Mindenki nagyon keményen dolgozott érte, mindenki igazán megérdemli. Örökké hálás leszek nekik.”
„Remélem, ez csak az első a sok közül. Nagyszerű kerékcserék, nagyszerű stratégia, az autót fantasztikusnak éreztem. Forza Ferrari!” – mondott még egyszer köszönetet.
Hamilton két második hely után szerezte meg az elsőt, ami jelzi, milyen sokat fejlődött ő és a csapata is a korábbi nehézségek után. A titokról is kérdezték. „Csak visszaküzdöttem magam. Nagyszerűen felkészültem, keményen dolgoztam érte, hogy ma itt lehessek, és a csapatnak köszönhetem, hogy a változtatásokkal visszanyertem az önbizalmamat. És bíztak a döntésekben, mindenben, amit kértem tőlük. Lassan látjuk, hogy minden kezd összeállni. És csak boldog vagyok az életben. Szeretem, amit csinálok, és nincs jobb érzés annál, mint Forma–1-es autóval versenyezni.”
Hamilton jó formáját a bajnoki tabella is tükrözi. Andrea Kimi Antonelli kiesésével és George Russell második helye után tartani tudta a második pozícióját az összetettben, a hátránya pedig 41 pontra csökkent az éllovassal szemben. „Elfogadom. Sok van még hátra. Még mindig nagyon jó a tempójuk, ez látszott. De dolgozunk tovább, próbáljuk ledolgozni ezt a különbséget. Még nincs vége, ez biztos!” – üzent hadat a Mercedesnek.

Jó ideig titkolóztak, mostanra kiderült: Lewis Hamilton lesz az a versenyző, aki a hétvégi Sao Pauló-i Nagydíjon pályára viszi Ayrton Senna 1990-es autóját. A McLaren MP4/5B interlagosi szereplését már közel egy hónapja bejelentették a szervezők, ám akkor még nem fedték fel a fehér-piros masina sofőrjének kilétét. A brazil sajtónak most azonban sikerült megszellőztetnie a hírt.
A Band Uol című lap értesülései szerint Lewis Hamilton a szombati nap záróprogramjaként fog körözni gyerekkori hőse és példaképe második világbajnoki autójával. A Sao Pauló-i Nagydíj sprintversenye és időmérő edzése után, helyi idő szerint 17 órakor viszi pályára azt a versenygépet, amellyel a brazilok háromszoros világbajnoka 1990-ben pole pozíciót szerzett a hazai versenyén.
Hamilton bizonyára életre szóló élmény lesz a körözés. A mclarenes éveiben ugyan már vezetett Senna-autót (az 1988-ast Silverstone-ban), ezúttal viszont a brazil hazájában, brazil közönség előtt teheti, ráadásul Senna 1994-es imolai tragédiájának 30. évfordulója alkalmából.
A szervezők egy ’Senna Forever’ elnevezésű eseménysorozattal adóznak versenyzőjük emlékének. Ennek több F1-es sztár is a résztvevője lesz. Első felvonásként csütörtökön az első brazil F1-es világbajnok, Emerson Fittipaldi társaságában mutatják be a Sao Paulo egyik üzleti központjában kiállított 1990-es McLarent – amit aztán a hétvége során a szurkolók is megcsodálhatnak a pályán, mielőtt Hamilton a gázba tapos vele.
Hamilton többször is mesélt arról, hogy gyerekkorában Senna csodálója volt. 1994-ben a brazil halálos balesetéről egy gokartpályán értesült, ahol apja elől elvonulva tört ki sírásban.
A brit az évek során többféleképpen tisztelgett Senna előtt (például sisakfestésekkel és ruhakölteményekkel), a családdal és a Senna-alapítvánnyal is jó a kapcsolata, 2017-ben Kanadában tőlük kapta ajándékba Senna egy korábbi sisakját, amikor utolérte a brazilt a szerzet pole pozíciók számában. 2022 óta tiszteletbeli brazil állampolgár is, aki bevallása szerint második hazai versenyének tekinti a Sao Pauló-it.
„Sennát mindig a szívemben őrzöm” – mondta Hamilton idén Imolában példaképéről. „Gyerekkoromtól szurkoltam neki, mindig ő volt a kedvenc versenyzőm, és bármit is vezetek, lélekben mindig velem van.”
Hamiltont a hírről a Band arról is kérdezte, milyen kapocs köti össze őt Brazíliával. „Tudják, hányszor teszik fel nekem ezt a kérdést?” – nevetett. „Ez egy nagyon sokszínű ország, nagyon multikulturális, és az Ayrtonhoz fűződő kötelék mindig is különleges volt. Nem tudom, de úgy érzem, nagy szívem van, és a braziloknak is nagy szívük van.”
„Igazi hazai versenynek érzem ezt. Főleg 2021 óta. De 2022 óta már brazil állampolgárként is. Igazán szeretem ezt a helyet. Az újévet is itt töltöttem idén, és már alig várom, hogy megérkezzek. A hétszeres világbajnok Lewis Hamilton 2025-től a Ferrarinál folytatja Forma–1-es pályafutását, a jövőre 40 éves versenyző csapattársa a monacói Charles Leclerc lesz. Sir Jackie Stewart szerint a brit sztárnak nem lesz egyszerű dolga az olasz istállónál ennyi idősen.
Igen, kissé meglepett a dolog, mert 40 éves lesz, miközben egy olyan csapathoz csatlakozik, amely nemrégiben ismét versenyképessé vált.
A Forma–1-ben egyetlen másik márka sem rendelkezik ilyen jellegű folytonossággal, mint ők” – árulta el a legendás skót pilóta.
„Nehezebb lesz számára most, 40 évesen, mintha mondjuk 25 vagy 30 lenne. Ettől viszont még megvannak a képességei és a tehetsége. Ez nyilvánvaló volt az idei Brit Nagydíjon is. Talán szokatlan, hogy most megy a Ferrarihoz, de egy ponton majd vissza kell vonulnia. Az egyéni pontverseny negyedik helyén a 237 pontos Oscar Piastri áll, mögötte Carlos Sainz 190, Lewis Hamilton 174, George Russell 155, Sergio Pérez pedig 144 ponttal rendelkezik.
A konstruktőrök között a McLaren 516 ponttal vezet, 41 ponttal megelőzve a második Red Bullt, és 75-tel a harmadik Ferrarit.

Toto Wolff, a Mercedes Forma–1-es csapatának főnöke meglepődött, hogy a hétszeres világbajnok Lewis Hamilton a Ferrarihoz szerződött, a döntést a brit pilóta a hivatalos bejelentés előtti napon közölte vele.
Hamilton csütörtökön hozta nyilvánosságra, hogy távozik a Mercedestől, és a jövő évtől a Ferrarinál versenyez. Egy nappal korábban Wolff-fal is beszélt az átigazolásról.
Tudtuk, hogy a hosszabbítás egy vagy talán két évre szólna – mondta a csapatfőnök Hamilton szerződésével kapcsolatban, amelyet tavaly augusztusban írt alá, és szerepelt benne egy kivásárlási záradék is. Wolff hozzátette, azt is tudták a csapatnál, hogy legfeljebb 2025-ig marad majd a 39 éves sportoló, aki szerdán, reggeli közben közölte a hírt Wolff oxfordi otthonában, döntését pedig azzal indokolta, hogy új kihívásra van szüksége.
Nem tudtunk hosszabb időre elköteleződni, ő pedig élt a távozás lehetőségével – hangsúlyozta Wolff, aki azt is megjegyezte, hogy nem próbálta lebeszélni Hamiltont az átigazolásról, csak a bejelentés időzítésére adott javaslatot, és ezt követően még egy órát kellemesen elbeszélgettek. Hozzátette:

Abban nem volt semmi meglepő, hogy a már világbajnok Max Verstappen nyert Forma–1-es Egyesült Államok Nagydíjon, aztán minden borult.
Max Verstappen a hatodik pozícióból indult vasárnap Austinban, a Forma–1 amerikai nagydíján, míg az élről a monacói ferraris, Charles Leclerc indult. A rajt Norrisnak, a McLaren második pozícióból rajtoló brit pilótájának sikerült a legjobban és gyakorlatilag simán állt élre. Őt követte Leclerc, aki mögé csapattársa, Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) sorolt be, megelőzve Lewis Hamiltont.
Az első körökben Norris folyamatosan növelte előnyét Leclerc-rel szemben, közben Hamilton meg tudta előzni Sainzt, akit az ötödik körben Verstappen is maga mögött hagyott. A Mercedes hétszeres világbajnoka lendületben maradt és a hatodikban a Ferrari monacói versenyzőjét is megkerülte, majd üldözőbe vette Norrist, de hosszú körökön át nem tudott rá közelíteni.
Leclerc a 11. körig tartotta maga mögött Verstappent, a holland viszont a folytatásban Hamiltonnál nem tudott gyorsabb lenni, így az élmezőnyből őt hívták ki először – a 16. körben – kerékcserére, amire a McLaren rögtön reagált és kihívta Norrist is új abroncsért.
Hamilton viszont még négy kört maradt kint a pályán az élen, Leclerc pedig 24 kört tett meg közepes keverékű abroncsain.
A kerékcserék után Norris állt az élen, két másodpercre mögötte Verstappen haladt, akitől a harmadik Hamilton több mint hét másodperccel volt elmaradva. A hollandok immár háromszoros világbajnoka nagyszerű tempóban haladt friss gumijaival és a 28. körben könnyedén előzte magát az élre, majd néhány kör után fokozatosan növelni kezdte előnyét a lassuló Norrisszal szemben.
Újabb izgalmakat Norris második kerékcseréje hozott 21 körrel a vége előtt, amire Verstappen a következő kör végén a boxba hajtott, így maga mögött tartotta a McLaren pilótáját, az előtte haladó Hamilton, Sergio Perez és Leclerc trió pedig csak egyszer volt kint.
A folytatásban Verstappen biztonságosra növelte a távolságot Norrisszal szemben, mindketten megelőzték Leclerc-t, míg Hamilton és Perez kereket cserélt, így a holland az utolsó 15 körben magabiztosan haladt az élen, egészen az utolsó egy-két körig, amikor a közepes keverékeken nagy tempóval haladó Hamilton – aki nyolc körrel a vége előtt utasította maga mögé Norrist – már két másodpercnél is közelebb került hozzá, de Verstappen győzelme összességében nem volt veszélyben.
A harmadik helyen Norris ért célba, mögötte pedig Sainz, majd Perez és a mezőnyben egyedüliként egy kiállással versenyző Leclerc.
Ez volt az a pillanat, amikor mindenki úgy gondolta, hogy ennek a futamnak vége, egy hét múlva jön a folytatás Mexikóban.
Nagyjából két órával az Amerikai Nagydíj eredményhirdetése után jelezte ugyanis az FIA, hogy vizsgálat indult a Mercedes és a Ferrari csapata ellen, mivel a futamot követő hivatalos technikai ellenőrzések során Lewis Hamilton és Charles Leclerc autójának padlólemezén is a megengedettnél nagyobb mértékű kopást mértek.
Mint az a Boxutca oldal megjegyezte, az FIA az ilyen jellegű szabálysértéseknél a zéró tolerancia elvét vallja, vagyis a kizárás a bevett büntetési forma.
Ennek megfelelően a szövetség az érintett csapatok képviselőinek meghallgatása után mindkét ügyben a diszkvalifikáció mellett döntött, ami azt jelenti, hogy Lewis Hamiltont megfosztották a második helyétől, Charles Leclerc-t pedig a 6 pozíciójától.
A döntés értelmében Lando Norris örökölte meg második pozíciót, Carlos Sainz jött fel a harmadik helyre, míg a pontzóna alján Logan Sargeant előlépett 10.-nek, és ezzel megszerezte pályafutása első F1-es pontját.
A két csapatot a technikai szabályzat 3.5.9. e) pontjának megsértésében találták bűnösnek, vagyis azzal vált szabálytalanná az autójuk, hogy annak kopólemeze az előírt mérési pontokon a megengedettnél nagyobb mértékben vékonyodott el a használat következtében.
Az FIA a kiadott indoklásokban azt írja, mind a Mercedes, mind a Ferrari elismerte, hogy a szövetség mérései pontosak, és mindkét csapat azzal magyarázta a lemezük túlzott kopását, hogy az austini pálya nagyon egyenetlen volt, illetve hogy a sprintes lebonyolítás miatt nem jutott elegendő idő a beállítások tökéletesítésére, valamint az autójuk verseny előtti ellenőrzésére.

A brit már tavaly egyszer egy brazil zászlót lobogtatva ünnepelt Ayrton Senna miatt.
A hétszeres Forma–1-es világbajnok Lewis Hamilton tiszteletbeli brazil állampolgár lett. Az elismerést hétfőn vehette át a brit pilóta az ország fővárosában.
„Nagy megtiszteltetés átvenni ezt a címet, már mondhatom, hogy egy vagyok közületek” – mondta Hamilton az őt ünneplő szurkolóinak.
A tiszteletbeli állampolgárság odaítélést először tavaly novemberben Andre Figueiredo kongresszusi képviselő vetette fel, miután a versenyző harmadik Brazil Nagydíjon aratott sikerét követően a levezető kört egy brazil zászlót lobogtatva tette meg.
A 37 éves Hamilton a címet példaképének, az 1994-ben versenybalesetben elhunyt Ayrton Sennának ajánlotta.
A Brazil Nagydíjat – az F1-es idény utolsó előtti futamát – vasárnap rendezik Interlagosban.

A lovagi rangra emelt Lewis Hamilton Forma–1-es autóversenyző mellett a brit koronavírus-járvány elleni küzdelem hősei szerepelnek jelentős számban II. Erzsébet királynő újévi kitüntetési listáján.
Az uralkodói kitüntetéseket évente kétszer ítélik oda, először II. Erzsébet királynő júniusi „hivatalos” születésnapján, majd újév előestéjén.
Az idei születésnapi kitüntetési lista összeállítását azonban az uralkodó egyetértésével októberre halasztották, lehetőséget teremtve arra, hogy a koronavírus-járvány megfékezésében élenjárók minél nagyobb számban részesülhessenek a magas kitüntetésekben.
A listára 1239-en kerültek fel. Közülük 229-nek a neve mellett szerepel, hogy a koronavírus-járvány elleni küzdelemben vállalt szerepükért részesültek az elismerésben. A királynő a Brit Birodalom rendjének tagja (Member of the Order of the British Empire, MBE) címet adományozta például a 104 éves Ruth Saundersnek, aki végiggyalogolta a maratoni távot, így gyűjtve pénzt a London környéki helikopteres légimentő-szolgálatnak.
Minden idők legidősebb kitüntetettje ugyanakkor a 106 esztendős Anne Baker, aki szintén az MBE címben részesült jótékonysági tevékenységéért.
A legismertebb kitüntetést Lewis Hamilton Forma 1-es autóversenyző kapta, aki idén megszerzett hetedik világbajnoki címével beállította Michael Schumacher rekordját. Hamiltont a Sir előnév viselésére jogosító lovagi rangra emelte a királynő.
A 35 éves Hamiltonnak alig néhány napja az év sportembere címet adományozta a BBC brit közszolgálati médiatársaság.
A brit uralkodó ugyancsak lovagi rangra emelte Dave Lewist, a legnagyobb brit kiskereskedelmi hálózat, a Tesco volt vezérigazgatóját.

Ki kell hagynia a hétvégi Szahír Nagydíjat az idei világbajnoknak, a múlt heti Bahreini Nagydíj győztesének, Lewis Hamiltonnak, miután kiderült, hogy elkapta a koronavírust. A hírt a Forma–1 hivatalos közleményben jelentette be.
„Az FIA, a Forma–1 és a Mercedes csapata megerősíti, hogy a Szahíri Nagydíjat megelőző kötelező PCR-tesztelése során Lewis Hamilton pozitív teszteredményt produkált a COVID-19-re. A COVID-19 protokoll és a bahreini egészségügyi hatóságok iránymutatása alapján most elkülönült. Minden kontaktját jelentették. Az FIA és az F1 által felállított procedúrák gondoskodnak arról, hogy ne legyen szélesebb hatása az esetnek a hétvége eseményeire” – írta az F1.
A Mercedes ennél részletesebb közleményt is kiadott bajnokáról, melyben azt írta, Hamiltont a múlt héten háromszor tesztelték, és valamennyi esetben negatív lett az eredmény. Hétfő reggel ugyanakkor tünetekkel ébredt, miközben megtudta, hogy egy korábbi kontaktja pozitív tesztet produkált.
„Amikor hétfő reggel fölkelt, enyhe tünetei voltak, és közben arról értesült, hogy egy kapcsolata, akivel a Bahreinbe érkezése előtt találkozott, pozitív tesztet produkált. Lewis emiatt újabb tesztnek vetette alá magát, amely pozitív eredményt hozott. Ezt azóta egy újbóli teszt is megerősítette” – írta a csillagos csapat.
A Mercedes egyúttal jobbulást kívánt a karanténba helyezett sztárjának, a hétvégi helyetteséről csak később fog hírt adni. Hivatalos tartalékversenyzője kettő is van az istállónak: Stoffel Vandoorne és Esteban Gutiérrez. Utóbbi esetében ugyanakkor problémát jelenthet, hogy már évek óta nem ült F1-es autóban, ami a beugrásnak feltétele lenne. Vandoorne eközben éppen Valenciában tesztel a Mercedes Forma–E-csapatával.
Hamilton egész évben nagy gondot fordított arra, hogy a lehető legcsekélyebb esélyt adja a megfertőződésnek. Korábban arról beszélt, hogy még családtagjait sem igen látta idén. Miután a Mercedes utazó csapatánál az ősszel több pozitív esetet is regisztráltak, Toto Wolffék még óvatosabb protokollal igyekeztek védeni a versenyzőjüket, még a mérnöki megbeszéléseket is online folytatják le. A csapatfőnök azt mondta, remeteként óvják Hamiltonékat.
