Jelezte az UEFA csütörtökön, az ukrán labdarúgó-válogatottnak politikai okokból változtatniuk kell az Európa-bajnoki mezükön, de az oroszok által sérelmezett térkép sziluettje maradhat.
Az első számú sárga trikón az oroszok által 2014-ben annektált területek is szerepelnek, ám ezt nemzetközileg továbbra is Ukrajna területeként ismerik el, az európai szövetség nem is talált benne kivetnivalót, hiába sérelmezte ezt hivatalosan az Orosz Labdarúgó Szövetség.
Feliratként két szlogen is szerepel viszont a mezen: a kép mellé a „Dicsőség Ukrajnának”, a gallér alá belülről pedig a „Dicsőség a hőseinknek” szöveget hímezték. Az UEFA szerint a kettő kombinációja már történelmi és honvédelmi jelentőségű, ezért egyértelmű politikai üzenet, ugyanis a két mondat katonai üdvözlés Ukrajnában. Utóbbi eltávolítását kérte.
„Nagy valószínűséggel a szerelésen változtatunk” – jelezte Mikola Vaszilkov, a csapat szóvivője.
Az ukrán válogatott az Eb C csoportjában Ausztria, Észak-Macedóni és Hollandia mellett kapott helyet, vasárnap utóbbi ellen kezdi meg a szereplését.

Oroszország panaszt nyújtott be az Európai Labdarúgó Szövetségnél (UEFA) az általuk politikainak nevezett mez miatt, amit az ukrán válogatott fog viselni az Európa-bajnokságon. Az orosz labdarúgó szövetség szerint az UEFA alapelveivel megy szembe a mez – írja a BBC.
A szerelésen Ukrajna sziluettje látható, az Oroszország által elcsatolt területekkel. A brit közmédiának az UEFA elárulta, már engedélyezték a mez használatát. Oroszország még 2014-ben csatolta el Ukrajnától a Krím-félszigetet, amelyet saját területüknek tartanak – a nemzetközi közvéleménnyel szemben.
A vasárnap bemutatott szerelésen a sziluetten túl hátul a „Dicsőség Ukrajnának!”, a galléron belül pedig a „Dicsőség a hősöknek!” nacionalista szlogenek olvashatóak, melyek a 2014-es kormányellenes tüntetéseken is népszerűek voltak.
Az ukrán elnök, Volodimir Zelenszkij Instagramon arról írt, ez a mez „tud sokkolni”, míg Andrij Sevcsenko vezetőedző úgy nyilatkozott, nem érdekli, mit gondol róla Oroszország.
Az orosz külügyi szóvivő, Marija Zaharova is megszólalt az ügyben, szerinte az ukrán csapat „az orosz Krím-félszigethez csatolta” és jelezte, hogy egy náci szlogent népszerűsít.
Az Európa-bajnokság június 11. és július 11. között lesz megrendezve 11 városban, köztük Szentpétervárott, ahol egy negyeddöntőt is tartanak majd.
