Durván megütött egy női játékvezetőt egy futballista Argentínában, a Buenos Aires tartománybeli Tres Arroyosban a Garmense és a Deportivo Independencia csapatai közötti regionális bajnoki mérkőzésen.
Az eset akkor történt, amikor a játékvezető egy szabálytalanság után megállította a játékot és sárga lapot adott az egyik futballistának, akinek a csapattársa ezt látva a bíró felé rohant és ököllel brutálisan arcon ütötte.

A dührohamot kapó játékost, Cristian Tironét rendőri kísérettel levonszolták a pályáról, majd letartóztatták, a meccset pedig félbeszakították a botrányos incidens után. A támadást követően a női játékvezetőt egy környékbeli kórházban kellett ellátni, de szerencséjére nem szenvedett súlyos sérülést.
