A Tour de France szervezői beperlik azt az útszéli nézőt, aki a verseny első szakaszán egy komoly tömegbukást okozott -írja az AFP.
A nő egy kartonpapírtáblát mutatott a versenyt közvetítő egyik motoros operatőrnek, amikor az út szélén nagy sebességgel érkező német versenyző, Tony Martin nekiment a táblának, kibillent az egyensúlyából, a bukása után pedig dominókét dőlt el szinte a teljes mezőny. Egy másik német bringás, Jasha Sütterlin (Team DSM) olyan súlyosan megsérült, hogy fel kellett adnia a Tourt, rajta kívül több tucat kerékpáros szerzett kisebb-nagyobb sérülést ebben a bukásban.
Az olasz bajnok Sonny Colbrelli és a belga Wout van Aert is esélyes lehetett volna a szakaszon, de a bukás miatt lemaradtak az élbolyról, nem tudtak harcolni a szakaszgyőzelemért. Az Ineos-Grenadiers két fontos versenyzője, Richie Porte és Tao Geoghegan Hart is benne volt a bukásban, mindketten sok időt vesztettek emiatt. A Critérium du Dauphiné versenyt június elején megnyerő Porte több mint két perc hátrányt kapott a szakaszon, a tavalyi Giro-győztes Geoghegan Hart öt perc felett kapott.
A Tour-címvédő Tadej Pogacarnak a jobb keze sérült meg kicsit, de így is hatodik lett a szakaszon. Svájci csapattársa, Marc Hirschi nem volt ilyen szerencsés, ő súlyosabban sérült, 18 perc hátrányt szedett össze, és a 180. helyen ért célba.
„Bepereljük ezt a nőt” – mondta Pierre-Yves Thouault, a Tour igazgatóhelyettese az AFP-nek. „Gondoskodnunk kell arról, hogy a show-t ne árnyékolja be a nézők kisebbségének elfogadhatatlan viselkedése” – tette hozzá a verseny biztonságért felelős igazgatóhelyettes.
Az Ouest-France regionális újság szerint a sárga dzsekit viselő nő a bukás után elmenekült a helyszínről, és egyelőre nem találták meg. A finistére-i csendőrség a Facebook-oldalán azt írta, hogy a baleset miatt eljárást indítanak. „A balesetet okozó néző még a nyomozók kiérkezése előtt elhagyta a helyszínt. Szemüveget, kék farmert, piros-fehér csíkos pulóvert és sárga esőkabátot viselt” – írták.
A cél előtt 7,5 kilométerrel egy másik nagy bukás is történt, a nagyot esőt litván Ignatas Konovalovas (Groupama-FDJ) és a francia Cyril Lemoine (B&B Hotels) szintén feladni kényszerült a versenyt.
