Másodszor is félbeszakították a vasárnapi Formula–1-es Belga Nagydíjat Spa-Francorchamps-ban a kedvezőtlen időjárási körülmények miatt.
A verseny a heves esőzés és az erős szél miatt nem rajtolhatott el 15 órakor, 25 perccel később pedig a mezőny két kört tett meg a biztonsági autó mögött, majd a versenybíróság piros zászlóval félbeszakította az eseményt.
Csaknem három és félórás várakozást követően 18 óra 17 perckor újra kigurultak a versenyautók a pályára a Safety Car mögött, de két kör után ismét visszatértek a boxutcába, mert megint piros zászlóval leállították a körözést.
Az újraindításnál ugyanakkor egyórás időhatárt rendelt el a versenybíróság, ha pedig annak elteltéig nem javulnak az időjárási körülmények, akkor a biztonsági autó mögött megtett négy kör alapján „intik le” a futamot, a sorrend végeredménnyé válik, az első tíz helyen zárók pedig a helyezésükért járó világbajnoki pontok felét kapják majd meg.
Nem sokkal később az illetékesek úgy döntöttek, hogy nincs értelme tovább várni, és lefújták a folytatást. A díjkiosztót azért megtartották, a dobogó legfelső fokára Max Verstappen (Red Bull) állhatott fel, a második a szombati időmérő edzésen mögötte végzett George Russell (Williams) lett, a harmadik helyen pedig Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) végzett.
