A 35 éves Hamiltonnak ez az idei 11. és pályafutása 95. futamgyőzelme. A brit világbajnok mögött Max Verstappen, a Red Bull holland pilótája ért célba másodikként, csapattársa, a thaiföldi Alexander Albon pedig harmadikként. A futam Grosjean balesete után több mint egy órán keresztül állt, a szalagkorlátot ugyanis meg kellett javítaniuk a szakembereknek.
A rajtot Hamilton látványosan jól kapta el, azonnal jelentősen elnyúlt a mezőnytől, miközben a második pozícióból startoló Bottas beragadt és négyen is megelőzték. Hamilton mögé Verstappen sorolt be másodikként, Pérez pedig harmadikként. Két kanyarral később a mezőny hátsó részében Grosjean a kigyorsításnál hirtelen jobbra húzta a versenyautóját, amelynek hátsó kereke eltalálta Danyiil Kvjat (Alpha Tauri) bal első abroncsát, emiatt a francia pilóta hatalmas sebességgel a közeli szalagkorlátba csapódott. A Haas átszakította a korlátot, Grosjean fejét gyakorlatilag csak a glória néven ismert HALO-rendszer mentette meg, amely 2018 óta kötelező a Forma-1-ben.
A becsapódáskor a Haas szabályosan kettétört, és a kiömlő üzemanyag azonnal lángra lobbant. Grosjean nem veszítette el az eszméletét, kiszabadította magát a lángoló autóból, és miközben a sportbírók és pályamunkások próbálták eloltani a tüzet, a francia versenyző – láthatóan sokkos állapotban – saját lábán elhagyta a baleset helyszínét. Grosjeant kisebb égési sérülésekkel további vizsgálatokra kórházba szállították, a futamot pedig piros zászlóval félbeszakították, a szalagkorlát megjavítása több mint egy órát vett igénybe.
A verseny a második körtől, új állórajttal folytatódhatott. A mezőny ezt a startot sem úszta meg baleset nélkül, ezúttal Lance Stroll (Racing Point) egy kanyarban befordult Kvjat elé, a két versenyautó ütközése nyomán pedig a kanadai pilóta versenygépe felborult. Emiatt a pályára hajtott a biztonsági autó, amely a nyolcadik körben engedte útjára a mezőnyt.
Az első kerékcserékre a 19-20. körben kerített sort az élmezőny, és ezeket követően nem változott a sorrend a dobogós helyeken: Hamiltont Verstappen és Pérez üldözte. A folytatásban még egyszer jártak a boxban új abroncsokért a versenyzők, a 35. és a 36. körben, de a sorrenden ez sem változtatott. A hajrához közeledve Verstappen felhagyott Hamilton üldözésével és egy újabb kerékcserével inkább a plusz egy világbajnoki pontot érő leggyorsabb körért szállt harcba, ebben sikerrel is járt. Hamilton győzelmét semmi sem veszélyeztette, Pérez versenyautója viszont három körrel a leintés előtt megadta magát, így Albon fért fel a dobogó alsó fokára.
A vb utolsó előtti futamát a jövő hétvégén rendezik szintén Bahreinben, Szahíri Nagydíj néven.

Hamilton pályafutása során 98., idén tizedik, Szahírban pedig negyedik alkalommal szerezte meg az első rajthelyet. Leggyorsabb körével (1:27.264 perc) megjavította a bahreini pályacsúcsot.
A hetedik vb-címét két hete biztosító brit pilóta mögött csapattársa, a finn Valtteri Bottas végzett a második, a Red Bullal versenyző holland Max Verstappen pedig a harmadik helyen. A Mercedes-csapat 78. alkalommal szerezte meg az első és a második rajthelyet az időmérőn.
A Ferrari pilótái, a négyszeres világbajnok német Sebastian Vettel és a monacói Charles Leclerc nem jutottak tovább az edzés második szakaszából.
Az 57 körös Bahreini Nagydíj, az idény 15. futama vasárnap 15.10-kor rajtol.

A 35 éves Hamilton sorozatban negyedik vb-címét hódította el, isztambuli sikerével ugyanis behozhatatlan előnyre tett szert az összetett pontversenyben. Hamilton ezzel beérte az örökranglistán az F1 történetének eddigi egyetlen hétszeres vb-győztesét, a legendás német Michael Schumachert.
Hamiltonnak az isztambuli az idei 10. és pályafutása 94. futamgyőzelme. A világbajnok mögött Sergio Pérez, a Racing Point mexikói pilótája lett a második, míg a négyszeres vb-győztes német Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) a harmadik. A verseny vizes aszfalton, de nem esőben kezdődött, és a futam során a pálya folyamatosan száradt. A rajtot a pole pozícióból startoló Lance Stroll (Racing Point) nagyon jól kapta el, míg a második kockából induló Max Verstappen (Red Bull) több pozíciót is veszített az indulásnál. A nedves aszfalton a mezőny egy része nagyon szenvedett, az első kör végén Stroll, Pérez, Vettel volt az első három helyen száguldók sorrendje, Hamilton hatodikként haladt, a vb-címre matematikailag még esélyes Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) pedig egészen a 17. helyig csúszott vissza.
Az első kerékcserékre a hetedik és 12. kör között került sor, ezek után az élen maradt a Stroll, Pérez duó, Verstappen viszont feljött a harmadik helyre, mögötte Vettel és Hamilton száguldott. Néhány körrel később Verstappen utolérte Pérezt és megpróbálta megelőzni, de a nedves aszfalton tapadást vesztett, megcsúszott és megpördült, ismét több pozíciót veszített. Bottas közben a mezőny hátsó részéből nem igazán tudott feljebb kapaszkodni, sőt, többször is megpördült, csupán a 13. helyig jött fel.
A 34. körben Vettel, majd a 37. körben az élről Stroll kiállt a boxba kerékcserére, Hamilton pedig a 38. körben megelőzte a vezetést ideiglenesen átvevő Pérezt és feljött az első helyre.
A hajrában Hamilton magabiztosan tartotta a vezető pozíciót, sőt, lekörözte csapattársát, Bottast, aki változatlanul a 13-14. helyen szenvedett, ezzel eldőlt, hogy az idény hátralévő három futamán már nem tudja behozni hátrányát Hamiltonnal szemben az összetettben. Vettel az utolsó két kanyarban jött fel harmadiknak, miután csapattársa, Charles Leclerc megtámadta Pérezt, de elrontotta a manőverét, így Vettel megelőzte. A négyszeres világbajnok német versenyző a tavaly októberi Mexikói Nagydíj óta nem állt dobogón. A világbajnokság két hét múlva, Bahreinben folytatódik.
Hamilton győzelme után, még az autóban, a csapatrádión keresztül üzent a világ összes gyermekének, kissé elcsukló hangon: „Minden gyereknek üzenem, aki a lehetetlenről álmodik: te is meg tudod csinálni! Hiszek bennetek!”. „A hét világbajnoki cím hihetetlen. De ha ilyen nagyszerű csapattal, ilyen nagyszerű emberekkel dolgozol, és igazán bíztok egymásban, akkor egyszerűen végtelenül sok mindent elérhettek közösen. Úgy érzem, mintha csak most kezdenénk” – fogalmazott a brit pilóta, akinek az elsők között Vettel gratulált a célba érkezés után. „Azt mondtam neki, különleges érzés volt számunkra, hogy tanúi lehettünk annak, hogy történelmet írt” – árulta el a négyszeres vb-győztes német versenyző.

A címvédő és hatszoros világbajnok Lewis Hamilton, a Mercedes brit versenyzője nyerte vasárnap a Forma–1-es Emilia Romagna Nagydíját, ezzel csapata megvédte konstruktőri világbajnoki címét.
Korábban egyetlen konstruktőr sem nyert sorozatban hét vb-címet, ez a Mercedesnek sikerült először, mivel négy versennyel az idény vége előtt behozhatatlan az előnye a pontversenyben második Red Bull előtt.
Hamiltonnak – aki egy hete adta át a múltnak a legendás hétszeres vb-győztes német Michael Schumacher 91 sikert számláló rekordját – ez volt idei kilencedik, pályafutása során pedig a 93. futamgyőzelme, amivel tovább növelte előnyét az összetettben.

A 35 éves versenyzőnek ez volt az idei nyolcadik, és pályafutása 92. futamgyőzelme, mellyel átadta a múltnak a legendás hétszeres vb-győztes német Michael Schumacher 91 sikert számláló rekordját. Hamilton mögött csapattársa, a finn Valtteri Bottas lett a második, míg Max Verstappen, a Red Bull holland pilótája a harmadik. A brit címvédő előnye öt futammal a zárás előtt 77 pontra nőtt az összetettben Botasszal szemben.
A rajtot Hamilton jól kapta el, meg is tartotta az első helyet, közben Verstappen és Bottas csatázott nagyot a második pozícióért, az eső pedig a pálya egy részén szemerkélni kezdett. Ez megkavarta egy kicsit a mezőnyt, Carlos Sainz (McLaren) az élre keveredett, Hamilton visszacsúszott harmadiknak, Bottas második volt. Az ötödik és a hatodik körben Bottas és Hamilton is megelőzte Sainzt, aztán Verstappen is lehagyta a spanyolt. A 20. kör elején Hamilton a célegyenesben könnyedén megelőzte Bottast, és átvette a vezetést, a harmadik helyen változatlanul Verstappen száguldott.
A kerékcserék sorát a Red Bull holland versenyzője kezdte meg az élmenők közül, ő a 24. körben járt a boxban, Hamilton pedig a vezető pozícióból csak a 41. körben kapott friss abroncsokat. Bottas egy körrel később követte csapattársát, és Hamilton mögött tért vissza a pályára. Tíz körrel a leintés előtt Hamilton több mint 15 másodperccel vezetett Bottas előtt, a sikerét pedig semmi nem veszélyeztette, ráadásul a plusz egy vb-pontot érő leggyorsabb kört is megfutotta a hajrában.
A monacói Charles Leclerc negyedik lett, ami kiváló teljesítmény a változatlanul gyengélkedő Ferrarival, a francia Pierre Gasly pedig – szintén nagyszerű versenyzéssel – ötödikként vitte célba az Alpha Taurit. A vb egy hét múlva Imolában, az Emilia Romagna Nagydíjával folytatódik.

A 35 éves pilótának ez volt az idei hetedik sikere, mellyel 69 pontra növelte az előnyét az összetettben hat versennyel a szezon vége előtt. Hamilton mögött Max Verstappen, a Red Bull holland versenyzője ért célba másodikként, míg Daniel Ricciardo, a Renault ausztrál pilótája harmadikként.
A rajtnál Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) és Hamilton nagyot harcolt egymással, két kanyar után a finn maradt az élen, Hamilton másodiknak, Verstappen harmadiknak sorolt be.
A 13. kör elején Bottas csúnyán elrontotta az első kanyar féktávját, Hamilton emiatt utolérte, és meg is előzte. Bottas ezután kerékcserére a boxba hajtott, és harmadikként tért vissza a pályára. A 16. körben Hamilton, valamint Verstappen is friss abroncsokat kapott, három körrel később pedig Bottasnak műszaki hiba miatt fel kellett adnia a versenyt. Az élen Hamilton száguldott, őt Verstappen követte a második, Lando Norris (McLaren) pedig a harmadik helyen. Féltávnál Ricciardo vette át a harmadik helyet Norristól, miután a brit versenyző kerékcserére a boxba hajtott.
Húsz körrel a leintés előtt Hamilton és Verstappen előnye az első két helyen csaknem egy perc volt a harmadik Ricciardóval szemben, a hajrában pedig még a biztonsági autó is bent járt a pályán, de a dobogós helyezések sorrendje a leintésig már nem változott.
A Forma-1-es pályafutása 323. versenyét teljesítő, ezzel rekorderré vált finn Kimi Räikkönen (Alfa Romeo) 12. lett. A 2007-ben vb-győztes Räikkönen a brazil Rubens Barrichello 322 F1-es rajtot számláló csúcsát adta át a múltnak.
A futam utáni interjú közben a legendás, hétszeres vb-győztes Schumacher fia, Mick édesapja egyik mercedeses sisakját adta át Hamiltonnak a rekordbeállítás alkalmából.
A vb két hét múlva, Portugáliában folytatódik.

Hamilton mellől az orosz GP-n Max Verstappen, a Red Bull holland versenyzője startolhat majd, míg a harmadik rajtkocka a másik Mercedesszel a finn Valtteri Bottasé lett.
A brit címvédő 1:31.304 perces leggyorsabb köre rekord ezen a pályán, és majdnem hat tizedmásodperccel volt gyorsabb, mint Verstappen legjobb köre.
Hamilton majdnem kiesett az időmérő második szakaszában. Éppen gyors körön volt ugyanis, amikor Sebastian Vettel a falnak csapta és összetörte a Ferrarit, ami miatt előbb dupla sárga zászlós figyelmeztetés volt érvényben, majd félbe is szakították a kvalifikációt. Vettelnek nem esett baja, de a törmelék és a roncs eltakarításának idejére szünetelt az időmérő második része, amelyből aztán alig több mint kettő perc maradt hátra, de Hamiltonnak sikerült egy megfelelő kört futnia ezen idő alatt ahhoz, hogy a harmadik etapban harcolhasson a pole pozícióért.
Az 53 körös Orosz Nagydíj vasárnap 13.10 órakor kezdődik.

A brit Lewis Hamilton, a Mercedes versenyzője nyerte a vasárnapi Forma–1-es Spanyol Nagydíjat, ezzel növelte előnyét az összetett pontversenyben.
A 35 éves pilóta ötödször nyert Barcelonában, ez volt az idei negyedik és pályafutása 88. futamgyőzelme, és így már csak három hiányzik neki ahhoz, hogy beállítsa a hétszeres világbajnok Michael Schumacher 91 sikert számláló rekordját. Egy másik Schumacher-csúcsot ugyanakkor megdöntött Hamilton, mivel karrierje során immár 156 dobogós helyezésnél jár. A legendás német versenyző 155 alkalommal állt dobogón F1-es pályafutása során.
Barcelonában a címvédő mögött Max Verstappen, a Red Bull holland versenyzője lett a második, míg Hamilton csapattársa, a finn Valtteri Bottas a harmadik.
A rajtot Hamilton jól kapta el, megőrizte a vezető pozíciót, Bottas viszont két helyet is veszített, miután előbb Verstappen, majd Lance Stroll (Racing Point) is elment mellette az első kanyarkombinációban. Az első kör végén Hamilton, Verstappen, Stroll volt a dobogós helyen száguldók sorrendje, de Bottas az ötödik körben egy előzéssel feljött harmadiknak.
A 22. körben Verstappen – miután többször is panaszkodott rádión a gumik állapotára – a boxban járt, és a kerékcsere után a harmadik helyen jött vissza a pályára. Egy körrel később Hamilton és Bottas egymás után állt ki friss abroncsokért, ezt követően visszaállt a korábbi sorrend. Hamilton előnye négy másodperc körüli volt a második Verstappennel szemben, Bottas pedig öt másodperccel maradt el a holland mögött.
A második kerékcserék sorát is Verstappen kezdte, ő a 42. körben ment ki a boxba, majd Bottas a 49., Hamilton pedig az 51. körben kapott friss abroncsokat. Így 10 körrel a leintés előtt Hamilton vezetett több mint 13 másodperces előnnyel Verstappen előtt, harmadikként pedig Bottas száguldott.
A hajrában Hamilton sikerét semmi nem veszélyeztette, Verstappennek pedig sikerült megtartania a második pozíciót Bottas előtt, aki az utolsó két körre teljesen új gumikat kapott, így a leintés előtt megfutotta a verseny leggyorsabb körét, amelyért plusz egy világbajnoki pontot gyűjtött.
A koronavírus-fertőzésből felgyógyult mexikói Sergio Pérez (Racing Point) ötödik, csapattársa, a kanadai Lance Stroll pedig negyedik lett. A Ferrarival változatlanul szenvedő, négyszeres vb-győztes Sebastian Vettel ezúttal pontokat szerzett, miután hetedikként ért célba.
A vb két hét múlva Belgiumban folytatódik.

A Mercedes vb-címvédő és a pontversenyben most is éllovas brit versenyzője a pénteki második tréningen is a leggyorsabb volt. Mögötte csapattársa, az első gyakorláson első finn Valtteri Bottas végzett másodikként szombat délben.
A holland Max Verstappen (Red Bull) az első két tréninghez hasonlóan harmadik lett.
Néhány perccel a szabadedzés vége előtt Esteban Ocon összetörte a Reanult-t, mivel Kevin Magnussen hirtelen fékezett előtte, a francia pedig elrántotta a kormányt és autója a falnak csapódott. Az edzés így piros zászlós jelzés alatt ért véget.

Hatalmas izgalmakkal teli hajrában nyerte meg a pole pozícióból induló Lewis Hamilton a Brit Nagydíjat. A hatszoros világbajnok az utolsó körben kapott defektet, így igencsak sérült bal első gumival szelte át a célvonalat. Hamilton csapattársa, Valtteri Bottas két körrel hamarabb járt hasonlóan, és pont nélkül zárta a silverstone-i versenyt. A dobogóra Max Verstappen (Red Bull) és Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) állhat fel Hamilton mellé.
„Majdnem megállt a szívem” – ez az a mondat, amit nem nagyon hitte senki, hogy elhangzik a győztes Lewis Hamilton szájából, hiszen egészen az utolsó körig azt csinált a mezőnnyel, amit csak akart. De elhangzott, méghozzá jogosan, hiszen az utolsó körben defektet kapott, és onnantól kezdve a „túlélésért” küzdött.
A szívroham pedig megállíthatatlanul jött érte Max Verstappen személyében, aki talán szerencsétlenségre a vége előtt beugrott új gumikért, hogy bizonyosan elkerüljön egy defektet és megfuthassa a leggyorsabb kört. Mindkettő sikerült, azonban, ha nem cserél, akkor a győzelemre is esélye lett volna, de Hamilton olyan hősiesen küzdött a végén, hogy a holland nem tudta beérni, és így a defektes brit versenyzőt intették le elsőként.
Az egészet Valtteri Bottas defektje vezette fel (no meg mások szenvedése, és defektje, is, melyek már figyelmeztető jelek voltak), aki végül pontot sem szerzett, mert neki nem volt olyan szerencséje, mint márkatársának. Rosszabb helyen és rosszabb időben kapta a nem várt pofont. Így már harminc pontos hátrányt halmoz fel Hamiltonhoz képest, ami két egyforma autó között eléggé soknak mondható.
Hamilton és Verstappen mögött a dobogóra Charles Leclerc fért még fel, aki igazán meggyőzően hajtott, és egyáltalán nem került olyan áldozat szerepbe, mint márkatársa, Sebastian Vettel, akit többen is megelőztek a futam során. A német aztán a defektes versenyzők (Bottas, Sainz) miatt visszaverekedte magát az éppen pontszerző 10. helyre.
Nem ez volt minden idők legizgalmasabb versenye, de azért voltak szép csaták a mezőny közepén, elején. Általában Lance Stroll volt védekező szerepben és sokáig nem is tudott átlépni rajta az őt támadó Esteban Ocon, de később tovább lassult a Racing Point és Pierre Gasly is belépett a csatába, csak gyorsabban végzett vele. A végén az az Alexander Albon is elkapta a rózsaszín autót, aki a futam elején összeakaszkodott Kevin Magnussennel, ami miatt 5 mp-es büntetést kapott.
Külső szemlélőként inkább volt az incidens a Haas csapat versenyzőjének hibája, de a bírák ma kicsit furcsán döntöttek talán több esetben is. A mai napra jellemző például a fekete-fehér zászló, ami egy olyan figyelmeztetés, amit sportszerűtlenség miatt lengetnek meg, és utána már a kizárás következik. Magnussen nem kapott ilyet, de helyette a márkatárs igen, és még kapott mellette az ezúttal védekező testtartást felvevő Lance Stroll is.
Két biztonsági autó is próbált tenni azért, hogy izgalmasabb legyen a Brit Nagydíj. Az elsőt a Magnussen-Albon ütközés idézte elő, a másodikat pedig Daniil Kvyat kiesése. Izgalmat azonban az a szakasz nem hozott, miután Valtteri Bottas nem nagyon akarta megtámadni márkatársát, a többieknek pedig nem is nagyon volt rá esélye.
Jövő héten ismét silverstone-i futam, csak ezúttal 70. évfordulós Nagydíj néven érkezik, és egy kicsit talán megkeverheti a lapokat, hogy más gumikeverékekkel futhatnak a versenyzők. Persze, ha nem nyúlnak bele a tervekbe a biztonság kedvéért.
