A világbajnoki pontversenyben második Lando Norris, a McLaren brit versenyzője nyerte a 40. Formula–1-es Magyar Nagydíjat vasárnap Mogyoródon. Második helyen ausztrál csapattársa, a vb-éllovas Oscar Piastri végzett, a dobogó harmadik fokára George Russell, a Mercedes pilótája állhatott fel, míg a pole pozícióból rajtoló monacói Charles Leclerc negyedik lett a Ferrarival.
A monacói jól rajtolt, sokáig vezetett is, ám az egyik kerékcserét követően egy technikai hiba miatt elfogyott az erő az autójából, így végül a dobogóról is lecsúszott.
A két McLaren eltérő taktikával körözött, és ez jelentette Norris futamgyőzelmének a kulcsát.
Nagyon ígérték az esőt, de végül megúszta a mezőny, mint ahogy szokásos kánikulát is. A McLaren pedig egy hatalmas blamát került el. Az utolsó előtti körben egy manőver közben hajszál híján kiütötte a vb-éllovas a csapattársát, ám az ausztrál végül hatalmasat fékezett, így mindketten sértetlenül célba értek. A McLaren-istállónak ez volt a 200. futamgyőzelme az F1-ben.
A 25 éves brit pilótának ez pályafutása kilencedik és az idei ötödik futamgyőzelme, amellyel kilenc pontra csökkentette a hátrányát az összetettben éllovas és a Hungaroringen másodikként célba érő csapattársával, Piastrival szemben.
A győztesnek járó különleges, Herendi Porcelánmanufaktúra által készített trófeát Szalay-Bobrovniczky Kristóf honvédelmi miniszter adta át, Piastrinak Szijjártó Péter külgazdasági és külügyminiszter, míg Russellnek Szujó Zoltán, a Magyar Nemzeti Autósport Szövetség elnöke gratulált. A pezsgőzés előtt biztonságba helyezték a porcelánokat a dobogón, így a korábbi „baleset” után ezúttal épen maradtak a trófeák.
A 70 körös mogyoródi futamot a nyári szünet követi, a világbajnokság augusztus utolsó hétvégéjén folytatódik a hollandiai Zandvoortban.

A címvédő és kétszeres világbajnok Max Verstappen, a Red Bull holland versenyzője nyerte vasárnap a 38. Forma-1-es Magyar Nagydíjat a Hungaroringen, egymás utáni hetedik sikerével tovább növelte az előnyét az összetett pontverseny élén, csapatával pedig rekordot döntött.
A 25 éves pilótának ez volt az idei kilencedik, és pályafutása 44. futamgyőzelme, a Red Bull pedig sorozatban a 12. elsőségét ünnepelhette, ezzel megdöntötte a McLaren 1988-ban felállított, 11 sikerből álló rekordját.
A Mogyoródon tavaly is győztes Verstappen mögött Lando Norris, a McLaren brit versenyzője ért célba másodikként, a másik Red Bullt vezető mexikói Sergio Pérez pedig harmadikként. A pole pozícióból rajtoló Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) negyedik lett.
Verstappen előnye a szezon felénél így 110 pontra nőtt az összetettben Pérez előtt.
A rajtot Hamilton nem kapta el tökéletesen, ezt pedig a mellőle induló Verstappen kihasználta és az első kanyarban átvette a vezetést. Hamiltont láthatóan kizökkentette az elhibázott start, a harmadik kanyar után már csak negyedik volt, mert mindkét McLaren megelőzte. Egy kör után Verstappen, Oscar Piastri, Norris volt a dobogós helyeken száguldók sorrendje, majd Hamilton, valamint a két Ferrari – sorrendben Charles Leclerc és Carlos Sainz Jr. – következett.
Az Alpine istálló számára mindössze egy körig tartott a Magyar Nagydíj, a startot rettenetesen elrontó Csou Kuan-jü (Alfa Romeo) ugyanis az első féktávot elhibázta, hátulról meglökte Daniel Ricciardót (Alpha Tauri), aki az előtte lévő Esteban Ocon versenyautóját öklelte fel. Az Alpine balszerencséje, hogy Ocon emiatt oldalról eltalálta csapattársát, Pierre Gaslyt, így a kör végén a francia csapat mindkét versenyzője a boxba hajtott és kénytelen volt feladni a viadalt.
A 15. körre állandósulni látszottak a különbségek az élmezőnyben haladók között, Verstappennek sikerült komolyabb, hét másodperc környéki előnyt kiautóznia, Piastrit pedig nagyjából 2-2.5 másodperces lemaradással követte Norris.
Hamiltont a negyedik helyről a 17. körben hívta ki kerékcserére a Mercedes, egy körrel később Norris, majd Piastri is friss abroncsokat kapott, de az ausztrál csak brit csapattársa mögé tudott visszatérni a pályára. Verstappen a 23. körben hajtott a boxba, kerékcseréjét kiválóan végrehajtotta a Red Bull szerelőgárdája, így a vb-címvédő gond nélkül visszaállt az első helyre.
A 30. körben Verstappen előnye 6.7 másodperc volt Norris előtt, akit Piastri tisztes távolságból, nagyjából 3.5 másodperccel lemaradva követett. Hamilton közben a csapatrádión arról érdeklődött, hogy a pálya melyik részén veszít időt, soknak találta ugyanis a hátrányát a McLarenekhez képest. A mezőny nagy részétől eltérő gumistratégián lévő Pérez eddigre már ötödiknek jött fel, és az övé volt a leggyorsabb kör is, így várható volt, hogy rövidesen meg tudja majd támadni Hamiltont a negyedik helyért.
A versenytáv feléhez érve Verstappen előnye már 10 másodperc feletti volt, Norris a második, Piastri pedig a harmadik pozícióját óvta, Hamiltonhoz viszont egyre közelebb zárkózott Pérez, akivel a csapatrádión közölték, hogy reális esélye van dobogós helyen befejezni a viadalt. A mexikói versenyző a 42. körben támadta meg először a brit sztárt, de kísérletét a hétszeres világbajnok kivédekezte. A kör végén Piastri a harmadik, Pérez az ötödik pozícióból hajtott a boxba újabb kerékcserére, így átmenetileg mindketten kissé hátrébb csúsztak a sorrendben.
A 45. körben Norris McLarenjén is kerekeket cseréltek, két körrel később Pérez feljött negyediknek, miután első előzési próbálkozása alkalmával elment a keményen védekező Piastri mellett. Húsz körrel a vége előtt Hamilton is a boxban járt és friss abroncsokat kapott a Mercedesére, miközben Verstappen előnye 35 másodpercre duzzadt a második Norisszal szemben, így a sikerét ettől a ponttól semmi nem veszélyeztette. A holland címvédő le is tudta második kerékcseréjét és gond nélkül tért vissza az élre.
A leintés előtt 15 körrel Verstappen, Norris, Pérez, Piastri, Hamilton volt az első öt sorrendje, de a britek hétszeres vb-győztese kisvártatva feljött negyediknek. Az utolsó körökben Hamiltonnak még majdnem sikerült támadási közelségbe kerülnie Pérezhez is, azonban ez végül nem jött össze neki.
Verstappennek a mogyoródi volt F1-es pályafutása 175. futama, ahol a Williams istálló – pontot nem szerezve – fennállása 800. Forma-1-es versenyét futotta.

Schmidt Ádám a bejelentéskor elmondta, a versenysorozat jogtulajdonosa a hosszabbítás feltételéül szabta, hogy a 2026-os viadalig elvégezzék a Hungaroring teljes megújítását.
„Terveink szerint év végére megszületik a munkákra vonatkozó közbeszerzési eljárás eredménye, majd a kormány támogató döntése után 2024 elején lép hatályba a szerződés és elkezdődhetnek az előkészületi munkálatok” – mondta az államtitkár.
Stefano Domenicali, a Forma–1-es autós gyorsasági világbajnokság elnök-vezérigazgatója szerint Magyarország több okból is fontos a versenysorozat számára, és lényeges, hogy a szombaton bejelentett szerződéshosszabbításnak köszönhetően hosszú távon tudnak számolni a Hungaroringgel.
A sportvezető a magyar újságíróknak Mogyoródon adott exkluzív interjút a 38. Magyar Nagydíj időmérő edzése után, és hangsúlyozta, a szerződés meghosszabbítására vonatkozó tárgyalások „nehezek, de korrektek” voltak, egyben kiemelte a magyarországi promóter és a magyar kormány elkötelezett hozzáállását.
„Magyarország egyrészt azért fontos nekünk, mert az F1 jelenlegi, folyamatosan növekvő népszerűsége közben meg kell találnunk a megfelelő egyensúlyt a tradicionális helyszínek, valamint az úgynevezett új piacok között. Másrészt Európa ezen régiójában hatalmas potenciált látunk arra, hogy még inkább ráirányítsuk a figyelmet a sportágunkra” – mondta Domenicali.
Az 58 éves olasz szakember szerint nem lett volna elég, ha csak 2027-ig számolhatnak a versenynaptárban a Hungaroringgel, ezért is volt fontos, hogy pont kerüljön az egyeztetések végére és a mostani hétvége szombati napján bejelenthessék a 2032-ig szóló megállapodás aláírását.

A júliusi Magyar Nagydíjon lesz a világpremierje az első, gyerekeknek szóló F1-es közvetítésnek.
A Forma–1 a Sky csatornával közösen készíti a produkciót, melyet a nemzetközi műsorszolgáltatók számára is elérhetővé tesz, bár elsősorban a brit és a német közönség számára készül.
A gyerekeknek szóló közvetítés egyedi grafikát, hangeffekteket és különleges funkciókat tartalmaz majd, beleértve a különleges kameraszögeknél 3D-vel kiegészített grafikát. Az Egyesült Királyságban az F1 világbajnok Jenson Button és a korábbi IndyCar versenyző, Danica Patrick lesz a műsorvezető, valamint három gyermek is csatlakozik hozzájuk.
A projekt nem titkolt célja, hogy a legkisebbek számára is vonzóvá és érdekessé tegye a versenyeket.

Alakulóban van a jövő évi F1-es menetrend és a jelek szerint változás várható a Magyar Nagydíj időpontjával kapcsolatban is. A hungaroringi futam hagyományosan a nyári szünet előtti utolsó összecsapás, a jövő évi verseny előzetes időpontja a korábban várt dátum alapján július 28-30-a volt. A formula.hu úgy tudja, hogy a viadal dátuma megváltozik: forrásaik szerint a mezőny jövőre július 21-23-án látogat Mogyoródra, a nyári szünet előtti utolsó fordulóként pedig – egy héttel később, a magyar futam eredetileg tervezett időpontjában – a Belga Nagydíjat rendezik meg.
Mint ismeretes, a Belga Nagydíj jövője hosszú időn át bizonytalan volt, azonban néhány héttel ezelőtt megszületett a megállapodás, hogy az F1 jövőre is visszatér a legendás helyszínre. A késői döntés miatt Spa kapta volna a július 21-23-i dátumot, azonban a helyi szervezők a július 21-i nemzeti ünnep és az akkortájt az országban zajló különféle tömegrendezvények miatt nem tudták vállalni a lebonyolítást.
A megoldás az lesz, hogy Spa-Francorchamps helyet cserél a Hungaroringgel.Az időpontcsere csak akkor válik véglegessé, amikor a Nemzetközi Automobil Szövetség (FIA) Motorsport Világtanácsa (WMSC) jóváhagyja a 2023-as versenynaptárt. Ha minden igaz, erre már nem kell sokat várni: a menetrendet heteken belül véglegesíthetik és nyilvánosságra hozhatják.

A Mercedesek kibérelték az első sort, a bajnokságot vezető Max Verstappen a harmadik helyről indulhatott.
A Mercedes hétszeres világbajnok pilótája, Lewis Hamilton nyerte a Forma-1-es Magyar Nagydíj szombati időmérő edzését, így ő indulhatott az első rajtkockából a vasárnapi futamon.
A brit pilóta az edzés harmadik szakaszának elején megfutotta leggyorsabb körét, amivel megszerezte pályafutása 101. pole pozícióját. A mogyoródi pályán Hamilton karrierje során nyolcadik alkalommal startolhat az élről. A Mercedes kibérelte az első sort, hisz a második helyen csapattársa, a finn Valtteri Bottas végzett. A harmadik rajtkockából a bajnokságot vezető holland Red Bull-pilóta, Max Verstappen indulhat.
Az első tíz további sorrendje:
4. Sergio Pérez (Red Bull)
5. Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri)
6. Lando Norris (McLaren)
7. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
8. Esteban Ocon (Alpine)
9. Fernando Alonso (Alpine)

Az edzés második szakaszát egy rövid időre meg kellett állítani, mert a Ferrari spanyol pilótája, Carlos Sainz a 14-es kanyarban a gumifalba csapta az autóját. A pilótának nem esett baja, de a legjobb 10 közé így nem tudott bekerülni.
Hibázott a második kanyarban Valtteri Bottas, aki későn fékezett és nekiment Lando Norris kocsijának a Forma-1 vasárnapi versenyén.
Bottas a versenyzőt rátolta Max Verstappenre és Sergio Pérezre, de kicsúszott Lance Stroll is.
Stroll, Bottas, Pérez, Leclerc kénytelen volt feladni a versenyt, a törmelékek miatt pedig szinte rögtön meg kellett szakítani a futamot. Norris autója is tönkrement, így ő sem folytathatta a versenyt.
