Egészen elképesztő szervezettséggel és szemtelen módszerekkel vezették félre éveken át az Ukrán Antidopping-csoport munkatársai a doppingellenes hatóságokat, áll a Nemzetközi Antidopping-csoport (WADA) jelentésében.
A WADA által 2019-ben elindított Herkules művelet során megszerzett bizonyítékok szerint az ukránok legalább 2012 óta módszeresen kijátszották a szigorúnak tűnő szabályokat. Amihez nem is kellett különösebb kreativitás, annál inkább ritka pimaszság.
A jelentés szerint az ukrán doppingellenes-csoport a papíron random, azaz bejelentés nélküli vizsgálatokat a legkevésbé sem vette komolyan. A szervezet munkatársai rendszeresen telefonon értesítették a sportolókat és sportszervezeteket, és nem csak arról, hogy mikor érkeznek a munkatársaik, de volt olyan is, hogy egész válogatottakat hívtak be megbeszélt időpontra mintaadásra, írja az olimpiai hírekre szakosodott Insidethegame.biz oldal.
Előfordult, hogy előre levett mintákat vizsgáltak, ahogy az is, hogy a versenyen vett mintát, versenyen kívüliként jelölték meg, ami szintén súlyos szabálytalanságnak számít.
„A Hercules hadművelet eredményei komoly kérdéseket vetettek fel az ukrán doppingellenes csoport tesztelési gyakorlatának integritásával és személyzeti kompetenciájával kapcsolatban” – mondta Gunter Younger, a WADA I&I igazgatója, aki ehhez még hozzátette: „A bizonyítékok azt sugallják, hogy a szervezet gyakran alkalmazta ezt a gyakorlatot fontos nemzetközi események előtt, és előfordult, hogy a nemzeti csapat egy egész szakága jelen volt a tesztelésre várva.”
